Gallery 844: Lightopia at Heaton Park - December 2019

December is usually a quiet month for the operations team at the Heaton Park Tramway but 2019 has been a little different with the tramway operating every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in connection with Lightopia taking place in the park this year. Giving a welcome boost to the tramway a one tram service is running on Fridays with two trams required on the weekends and despite a quiet start full loads are now often being taken for a ride along the tramway. Blackpool 623 (complete with illuminations), Hull 96 and Manchester 765 have all been in service with the Blackpool and Manchester cars seeing more use due to their higher capacities.
