Gallery 814: Great Orme Tramway - 2nd July 2019

Of all heritage type tramways within the British Isles the most consistent of all throughout its history has been the Great Orme Tramway with the same four trams still running today as they did when it opened in 1902 (lower section) and 1903 (upper section) - and on the same sections. So if you take a trip to Llandudno in 2019 you will still see 4 and 5 on the lower section with 6 and 7 on the upper running on the line which links the outskirts of the town with the summit of the Great Orme. With stunning scenery and the only cable operated tramway in the country it is well worth a visit and in this collection we take a look at the trams running on a fine and clear early July day.
