Gallery 811: Blackpool Totally Models - June 2019

The weekend of 22nd and 23rd June saw another two days of intensive heritage tram action with trams running between Pleasure Beach and Fleetwood along with a model tram exhibition at Rigby Road Depot which saw a special shuttle service run between Hopton Road and Cabin bringing seven trams to the rails on each day. There was also the chance to see behind the scenes at the depot with guided tours showing areas of Rigby Road not usually visible to the public, mainly the Body Shop, Fitting Shop and Electrical Compound with a treasure trove of trams waiting for their chance to return to action. In this small collection we take a look at the large scale trams both in service on the Prom on day one of the event as well as some of those trams stored or under attention in the depot. This includes Standard 143 (still scheduled to to return to service on 28th August), Bolton 66 and Balloon 707. Photographers: Stuart Cooke & Trevor Hall
