| Gallery 806: Blackpool Tramway - May 2019 |
| The Spring Bank Holiday weekend saw another Gold timetable in operation on Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours with six trams in service on each of the three days on the usual timetable between Pleasure Beach and Fleetwood. We actually start this collection on Friday 24th May when a four tram service was running before that evening saw two special trips - The Great British Night Out and The Ghost Tram. The latter of these saw Balloon 715's first use with a new look - 1970s Green and Cream with period adverts for CIS Insurance and Blackpool Zoo. After this we are then straight into the weekend and the heritage service. In total 13 trams were used on the main heritage service over the course of the three days plus Balloon 711 as the Shop Tram at North Pier and all are included in these photos. We also see a few Flexity2 trams alongside the heritage cars with more of the modern trams to come in a future gallery. |
