Gallery 793: Blackpool & Fleetwood Box 40's farewell - March 2019

Having spent almost 23 years on loan to Blackpool, Blackpool & Fleetwood Box 40 is heading back to its owners at Crich via Beamish in 2019 but not before it had chance to say goodbye to its spiritual home. Two farewell tours took place on consecutive days at the start of March - on Friday 1st March for the Friends of 40 group who were heavily involved in backing the tram and then on Saturday 2nd March for the general public. In this collection we feature images from both tours before we then follow the tram across to Beamish where preparations start to get it ready for service.
