Saturday 1st September saw the annual enthusiast event at Crich Tramway Village, now rebranded Simply Trams. The theme for 2018 was birthdays and anniversaries and to this end the highlight for many on the day was the resurrection of Blackpool & Fleetwood 2, which hadn't run in service since 2014. With the tram being 120 years old this year, as well as its own tramway celebrating the same anniversary, it was returned to service for one day only and proceeded to run the first and last services of the day. Alongside an intensive passenger service there were also works cars in operation whilst Prague 180, Douglas Marine Head Drive 1 and the Manchester Horse Drawn Tower Wagon all made rare appearances in the depot yard for unique photo opportunities. A full review of the day is available here.
