In the second of our two galleries from the Isle of Man's transport events in July we take a look at what happened during the Manx Heritage Transport Festival which followed on from the Isle of Man 50 Group charters. With the Manx Electric Railway celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2018 that line dominated the events with several of the trams having received new liveries for the year and again these feature extensively here including the excellent new look for Winter Saloon 19. As well as looking at the trams in service we also see behind the scenes at Laxey and Derby Castle sheds which allows us to take a look at some long withdrawn trams and some which are being prepared for a return to service. The MER isn't the only system to feature as we also see some of the trams from the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway and Snaefell Mountain Railway in action. Away from the trams we also take brief looks at the Isle of Man Steam Railway, Groudle Glen Railway, Great Laxey Mines Railway and also some vehicles at the Jurby Transport Museum to complete the transport picture of the island. A diary article of what happened during this period can be read here.
