Gallery 749: Metrolink Trafford Park extension - July 2018

With tracklaying now well underway on the Manchester Metrolink Trafford Park extension this small collection takes a look at progress during July. With great fanfare recently TfGM announced that track was now in place at the Trafford Centre but in reality the work on placing the rails has been taking place for a number of weeks at not only Trafford Centre but also other locations along the line. We also take a look at preparations for the construction of the junction at Pomona between old and new - with the Eccles line closed from 28th July to 9th August this work will now progress further in the coming weeks. More details of recent progress can be read in the news.
