Gallery 714: Trams Around the World - The Electric City Trolley Museum, Scranton

This is an overall view of the Electric City Trolley Museum looking west; the museum is located 300 Cliff Street; Scranton, Pennsylvania. The Steamtown National Historic Site (centred on the former Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad roundhouse) is located to the rear of the photographer; the Dickson Locomotive Works was located where the parking lot is located out of the picture to the left. The trolley wire seen in the picture ends a few yards out of the picture to the right. The trolley car at the left under the canopy is Philadelphia Rapid Transit city car 8534; the orange car to its right is Philadelphia and Western 401, built as an interurban freight motor but later used in maintence of way service. The car to the extreme right is a J.G. Brill Company ‘bullet’ car, Philadelphia and Western 206.
