Now firmly established in the special event calendar the Anniversary Spectacular in Blackpool at the end of September had a decidedly Brush Railcoach theme for 2017 with the single deck trams celebrating their 80th anniversary. This collection actually starts two days before the weekend on Thursday 21st September and we see the Flexity trams running the core service as well as Illumination Tours from Pleasure Beach in the hands of the illuminated feature cars. The main weekend events started on Friday 22nd September with an afternoon of Brush Car action between Pleasure Beach featuring the first use of 621 since overhaul and 630 since returning on loan from Crich. They are joined by 623 and 631 in completing the quartet of trams in action during the afternoon. We then have extensive photos from the weekend with various heritage trams running on a regular service and we don't forget the main service or illumination tours either. Photos are also included on trams on static display at Rigby Road Depot. The gallery concludes on Monday 25th September with a few images taken on a bleak autumnal morning.
