Gallery 687: Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life - 26th July 2017

Before Edinburgh Trams opened in 2014 Scotland had just one operating tramway and that was - and still is - at the Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life. Currently the home to four heritage trams - including Glasgow 1245 which is under restoration - most days see at least one tram in service with Glasgow 1017 a regular performer on the short line. And it is that tram which we feature in this selection of photos taken on 26th July when it was the only tram to see service on a very wet summer's day. As it was the only tram in service 1017 is featured at various different locations on the line and we also feature a few general shots of the museum as well. Photographer: David Bosher
