Gallery 664: Burton & Ashby 14 at Statfold Barn Railway - March 2017

Satursday 25th March 2017 saw one of the more remarkable returns to service in recent years with Burton & Ashby 14 carrying its first passengers in the UK for 90 years. Having only been returned from Detroit in late 2015 the tram had been rapidly returned to operational condition - albeit power by batteries - with this date being the first running day at Statfold Barn since the work was completed. Only 450 tickets were available to travel on the tram during the day and these were rapidly snapped up by eager passengers. In this collection we take a look at 14 on its first day in service.
