| East Anglia Transport Museum - Festival of Transport September 2026 |
|
The East Anglia Transport Museum had a new event in their special event calendar for 2026 - the Festival of Transport. Taking the traditional big event end of September slot it saw an intensive tram service (with the passing loop at Hedley Grove having been recommissioned), regular trolleybus services whilst the East Suffolk Light Railway was in operation and there were buses running free trips around the local area.
On the tram side the event saw the return to action of Blackpool 159 which ran for the first time in 2026 having enjoyed an overhaul and full repaint since last running at the tail end of the previous season. As well as 159 fellow Blackpool tram 11, Amsterdam 474, Sheffield 513 and London Transport 1858 were all used in service over the two day event. |
