The undoubted highlight of the weekend was the launch into service of Blackpool 645 as the new Access Tram following work in Crich's own workshops. The tram was launched at Stephenson Place during a special ceremony on the first day of the event and would then operate trips for invited guests before being used in normal service for the rest of the Saturday and then the Sunday morning. It was one of 10 trams on Saturday and 9 on Sunday which ran in passenger service whilst Cardiff 131 was also out on the mainline running journeys along the length of the line.

Over on the depot fan and the Saturday saw a Leeds tram line-up featuring 180, 345, 399, and from the Great Exhibition Hall, Tower Wagon 2. Berlin 223 006-4 was also displayed in front of the Traverser. Sunday saw two themes of line-ups. Blackpool saw Conduit 4 taken from the Great Exhibition Hall and lined-up with Pantograph 167, Centenary 645 and Jubilee 762 and over on the other side it was Future Projects. This included Glasgow 1282 and Sheffield 189 - both of which are on the Workshop plan to return to service in the future.
