Manchester Metrolink - April & May 2026

We return to Manchester Metrolink once again for this set of photos with images taken mainly during the evenings of a few days in April and May 2026.

By the time of these photos Metrolink was operating a revised temporary timetable which means trams are only running every 15 minutes on each route, although more double were in operation. There were also a few route changes with the Altrincham to Piccadilly now running through to Etihad Campus all day whilst all services between Eccles and Ashton-under-Lyne were going via MediaCityUK. The Trafford Centre service is also extended through to Crumpsall, well most of the time with one evening during this visit seeing it having to be turned short at Queens Road.

As is often the case with Metrolink we see a variety of liveries with numerous vinyl wrap adverts in evidence. Some of these remain in place as we publish this collection whilst others have become the latest to enter the history books.

Photographs were taken between Wednesday 29th April and Friday 1st May 2026.
