National Tramway Museum - Seaside Fun May 2026

One of the biggest special events of the year at the National Tramway Museum has become the Seaside Fun event (under a variety of different names but the theme remains the same!), and with record-breaking temperatues in May 2026 that was definitely the case in what is one of the most landlocked counties in the UK! With a regular tram service in operation between Town End and Glory Mine using a variety of trams (with the weather meaning that Blackpool Boat 236 and London County Council 106 were very popular as the only two open toppers currently available for use), the event also saw a visiting fairground around lots of other seaside type activities. All in all it proved to be a very popular seven day event.

This collection (which isn't as big as it may have been as your Editor had a failed attempt to visit on the Monday thanks to Crosscountry Trains...) starts off on day one - Saturday 23rd May - with a selection of images of the trams in service on that day, before we move forward to the Wednesday with more photos of the trams out and about on that day, as well as the latest progress of the restorations underway in the Workshop.
