It only saw one day of public use and wasn't there for long but was the loan of Blackpool Open Top Balloon 706 to Manchester's Heaton Park Tramway one of the most ambitious we've seen in relatively recent years? During a special Blackpool event (which also saw Blackpool 31 feature on loan from Beamish) we see the tram close to Middleton Road Depot on 21st November 2010. After this brief loan it returned to Blackpool and saw operation for a few more years but is now waiting a full overhaul before it can be considered for a return to the Prom.
