2010 was kind of the start of a few years of regular tram loans and a lot of that was thanks to Beamish and the inventive special events that they were holding. April 2010 saw an event with a contractors theme and for that they loaned Cardiff 131 from Crich. This Water Car was stabled for some of the time in the Town street (the 1900s Town now but back then the only town!) and also ran some demonstration runs around the tramway with volunters from Crich coming along to help with these. On 15th April 2010 we see the tram returning to the depot after one such run around the tramway circuit. And if you thought this was a remarkable loan then that is nothing comapred to November 2011-March 2012 when it went to Blackpool and was actually used as a Water Car to prepare the upgraded tramway for opening!
