| London Trams - 22nd September 2025 |
|
A visit to the London Trams network which operates three lines in South London: Wimbledon to Beckenham Junction, Wimbledon to Elmers End, and New Addington to West Croydon. The service is operated by two classes of tram - the original Bombardier CR4000 trams built for the opening of the network in 1998-9, and the Stadler Variobahns which were built in two batches in 2011-2 and 2015-6. Plans are being formulated for new trams to replace the CR4000s but for now they are still providing service to South London.
In this collection we feature both classes as we head to various locations on the network, mainly featuring the Wimbledon line as well as in the central Croydon. All but one tram is in the standard fleet livery - that exception is 2537 which had just received a special half wrap to celebrate Transport for London's 25th anniversary. |
