West Midlands Metro - 9th October 2025

Since 29th September 2025 trams on the West Midlands Metro have been serving Wolverhampton St George's again - after a break of two years, one month and one day. But its just a temporary return and by the time these photos are published on British Trams Online there just be a few hours until its closed again (from 1900 on Saturday 18th October)! The next closure - which will see more engineering works take place - should only be for a few weeks as come November/December it will be a permanent return for the stop, whilst we will also be able to welcome Millennium Point on the Birmingham Eastside extension to the network.

With just a few weeks to be able to enjoy trams to St George's again, Ken Jones paid a visit to the tramway and this collection is the result as we gradually make our way north and see trams getting to St George's as well as on the newer Wolverhampton Station extension.
