| Crich Tramway Village - Tram Weekend September 2025 |
|
The annual Tram Weekend took place at the Crich Tramway Village on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2025. It was once again the usual mix of an intensive tram service (nine passenger trams on the Saturday and ten on the Sunday to give a total of 16 different in service, along with two works cars) plus the chance for some rare photo opportunities as trams were taken out of the depots and Exhibition Hall.
The theme this year featured trams from Merseyside (both days) following the arrival earlier this year of two new trams donated by the Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society whilst day one saw London trams lined-up (including London County Council 1 which had been launched last year) and on the Sunday it was Blackpool which took centre-stage with many trams from the Fylde Coast not only in service but also on display. This included the orginal Conduit 4 which like the tramway celebrates its 140th birthday this September. In this collection we feature most of the trams which took part in the weekend with plenty of images taken in and round the depot fan with the ever-changing displays. All seasons are also featured with sunshine and then heavy rain experienced! * A full review of the event can be read here. And if you like to watch moving images then why not check out Steven Hughes Transport Videos at www.youtube.com/@SHTVMEDIAwww.youtube.com/@SHTVMEDIA who has coverage of both days. |
