Manx Heritage Transport Festival - July 2025

This is a small collection of photos taken during July 2025's Manx Heritage Transport Festival, with a major focus on the Manx Electric Railway.

The festival was once again a successful event with a mix of events across all of the island's transport. For the Manx Electric Railway the undoubted highlight was the return to service of Trailer 50 - a vehicle which had not been used in passenger service since 1978! The trailer has been subject to an extensive restoration by a team of volunteers with support from paid MER staff and completed in the nationalised green livery looks resplendent once again.

The event once again saw several parallel runs to start each day, whilst 34 was out and about in its new grey livery, and now carrying the number 7 which is what it carried when first built as a replica for the Snaefell Mountain Railway.

That's just the main highlights with plenty of other things taking place, some of which are featured in these photos.
