Docklands Light Railway - 26th May 2025

London's Docklands Light Railway has been operating in the east of the capital since 1987 and since that time has seen major expansion to reach the 24 mile network it is today.

Major investment in a new fleet of trains - being built by CAF - is ongoing but their entry into service is much delayed with issues found during testing in connection with the signalling system. In the meantime the current fleet of trains is soldiering on, including the B90, B92 and B2K classes which are due to be replaced by the new trains in due course. The newer B2007 and B2009 trains will continue in use following the introduction of the new trains.

In this collection we visit the network on Bank Holiday Monday, 26th May 2025, when there were no engineering works and so the whole system was available to explore. And we head onto all lines to see all varieties of the trains in service. The Bank to Lewisham line saw three car trains running whilst all other lines were just two cars.
