Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours - Enhanced Weekend September 2024

The last Enhanced Weekend of 2024 for Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours took place on the final weekend of September. As with previous Enhanced and Event Weekends this saw a "hop-on, hop-off timetable" in operation and on both days this included five trams in use, with the continued limited tram availability due to the situation at Rigby Road Depot.

This collection actually gets undwerway a couple of days before the events of the weekend with some images of Illumination Tours before we really get going with the "hop-on, hop-off timetable". We see all of the trams which ran on that timetable - which on the Saturday included the relatively unusual use of the Frigate during the daytime - and also feature Balloon 723 in use on "The Full System Tour" which took place on the Sunday and included a trip onto the North Station extension, becoming the first true heritage tram to carry passengers along Talbot Road since it opened.

* Some video of trams running over the weekend from Steven Hughes can be viewed on YouTube.
