Blackpool Tramway - Enhanced Weekend August 2024 |
The latest Enhanced Weekend for Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours came over the August Bank Holiday weekend (24th-26th August). The now regular pattern of operation was used - with four trams on a timetabled "hop-on/hop-off" service and this time those four were joined by the illuminated Frigate which ran Promenade Tours in the afternoon.
With limited trams available for use the output was as good as it could have been with Bolton 66, Boat 600, Brush 631, Balloon 700, Balloon 718, Balloon 723 and the Frigate all in use. It may have been the August Bank Holiday weekend but the weather didn't seem to be aware with fairly bleak conditions for most of the weekend which saw, at times, 66 and 600 having to be substituted for others trams. YouTube videos from Steven Hughes of all three days are available at the following links: |
