Manx Heritage Transport Festival - Part 2: 1st to 5th August 2024 |
We reach the final part of an extensive collection of photos taken on the Isle of Man before, during and after the 2024 Manx Heritage Transport Festival. This time we feature the final four days of the Festival before we round things off the following day with a few more images.
Highlights of the events on 1st August saw Crossebench Cars 16 and 32 run the morning Parallel Run on the MER whilst the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway saw Toastracks 21 and 42 in operation. Friday 2nd August featured unusual trams in service - this included NATS 4 running up Snaefell and MER loco 34 hauling Trailer 51. The weekend then saw timetable F running on Saturday 3rd August including an evening service and then things ended on Sunday 4th August with an intensive service on the Manx Electric Railway and Queens Pier in Ramsey saw Planet and trailer in operation again - for the first time since 1981! This collection then rounds things off on a windy Monday 5th August (with no Snaefell Mountain Railway service due to the weather) and more stunning photos from the Isle of Man! There is plenty on YouTube from Steven Hughes of this period as well including: |
