Late July and early August on the Isle of Man can only mean one thing - Transport Festival time! With the event this year taking place between 30th July and 4th August our coverage starts before those got underway in this first part (of two) of photos.
In this collection we have a lot of general views of the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway, Manx Electric Railway and Snaefell Mountain Railway showing them in operation during late July. As well as the normal service we also feature the Isle of Man 50 Group charter on 28th July which saw Tunnel Car 9 and Trailer 51 head along the line with many photostops on the way. Part Two featuring the Transport Festival in detail will follow in a future update. |
