| Manchester Metrolink - 24th June 2024 |
|
Starting from 22nd June a period of major trackwork started on the Manchester Metrolink system which resulted in the Ashton-under-Lyne line being split from the rest of the system with the work underway on the approach to Piccadilly Station from Manchester City Centre.
This collection features photos taken a couple of days in to this closure and sees trams running on both sides of the split. We see trams using the crossover in Aytoun Street (the Piccadilyl Station side of Piccadilly Gardens) as well as trams in the vicinity of Piccadilly Gardens. We're then off to the other side of blockade as we see trams running into Piccadilly Station, as well as a spare tram stabled in the station undercroft. |
