The Spring Bank Holiday weekend saw the first "Event Weekend" of 2024 in Blackpool which also saw the return of the hop-on, hop-off timetable with heritage trams running various journeys between Starr Gate and Fleetwood (and points in between!) - the first such timetable since last September. With limited trams available due to the ongoing condition of Rigby Road Depot it was four heritage trams a day in service, and a total of six different trams saw action over the three days including the year debut of Boat 227 and Balloon 718.
This collection not only takes a look at those six heritage trams but we also feature the modern Flexity2 trams on the tramway. Not only do we see them operating the core service between Starr Gate and Fleetwood (including some on specials) but we also take a quick look at driver training runs being undertaken on the North Station extension which was due to open just three weeks later. |
