Manchester Metrolink - March 2024

This gallery heads to the UK's largest tram network - Manchester Metrolink - with photos of many of the 147 M5000 trams which operate the service across the system.

Amongst the highlights of this collection are 3015 which returned to service in March 2024 having not been used since January 2021, 3069 in a brand new advertising livery for IKEA plus several other adverts (with 13 of the trams currently sporting vinyl wraps, although not all feature here).

We head across the network with photos coming from all of the lines plus also from the central section of the network in Manchester City Centre.

During this visit there continued to be a revised service in operation because of a cracked rail at Victoria which meant the usual peak-time service between East Didsbury and Shaw and Crompton was revised to only run from East Didsbury to Exchange Square. This also saw additional double trams used on the East Didsbury to Rochdale Town Centre service.
