On Sunday 26th March 2023 the Heaton Park Tramway welcomed Blackpool Replica Vanguard 619 back to service following the conclusion of its overhaul - it had last been part of the main operating fleet in 2017. To mark the occasion - and to start the new season - a special event took place at the tramway which saw a couple of visiting buses in attendance and a two tram service with Blackpool Brush 623 also in service. The two trams are seen together at Middleton Road Gates towards the end of the event.
