The weekend of 23rd and 24th September was the last "Enhanced Weekend" of operation for Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours in 2023 and this collection features the trams which not only ran over those two days but also in the days leading up to it.
With it being Illumination season we start off by looking at some of the trams being used on Illumination Tours with both the Western Train and HMS Blackpool the Frigate in action. Then on Friday 22nd September we see some views of Balloon 700 which was used for afternoon tours including a Promenade and a Coastal Tour. The main focus of the gallery though is the "Enhanced Weekend" which saw a five tram timetable in service using some of the operational heritage trams. Both days actually saw six trams running because of changeovers and we feature all the trams which ran with nice sunny weather on the Saturday and not so nice and wet weather on the Sunday! A few modern Flexity2 trams also pass our camera but they will mainly feature in a future gallery on British Trams Online. |
