From the Archive: Nottingham Express Transit Phase 2 construction

Nottingham Express Transit's Phase 2 extension to Toton Lane and Clifton South have now been operating for over seven years (the full lines opened on 25th August 2015) and have become a very familiar part of the area with regular trams running 364 days a year. What is less familiar to us now is how things were whilst the extensions were being constructed with major works required to bring the trams to areas such as Chilwell, Beeston and Clifton.

In this collection we take a look at some of the construction works between 2012 and 2014 with a particular look at the work which took place around Ruddington Lane.
