East Anglia Transport Museum - April 2023 |
Photos in this collection were taken on two visits to the East Anglia Transport Museum in April 2023. In the first visit - on 9th April - trams were only running as far as the entrance to the woods because of trackworks but there were still two trams in action: Blackpool pair Marton VAMBAC 11 and Standard 159. As well as the operational trams we take a look inside the depots (both old and new) to see what else is around including the recent Blackpool arrivals such as Brush 290 which was in the original depot still at this time.
The second visit was on 30th April and it was the same two trams in service but with the full line open again. Again, we also see the trams in the depots and by this time 290 has moved to the west tram depot and the top deck of Glasgow 488 has also gone undercover having previously been stored under tarpaulins. As well as the trams we also see some of the other transport at the museum including the trolleybuses, East Suffolk Light Railway and buses. |
