As architectural excellence goes it would fair to say that the Nobreck Castle Hotel is quite low down the list and the decision to repaint it a mixture of greys and blacks with the old beige still in place doesn't do it much favours either! The building was originally built in 1869 as a private house and then at the end of the 19th century was purchased by J H Shorrocks who started to take in paying guests and then in the 20th century additions were made to the property including a ballroom, swimming pool and solarium. That's enough about the hotel and so we can turn our attention to Bombardier built Flexity2 015 which is running south to Starr Gate as it calls at the Nobreck stop.
