Crich Tramway Village Tram Day - 17th September 2022 |
This gallery of photos comes from the Crich Tramway Village's annual "Tram Day" which took place in 2022 on Saturday 17th September. With the usual mix of an intensive tram service and stored trams on display for photos this is the premier tram event at the home of the National Tramway Museum as it showcases a large amount of their fleet all in one day.
As with previous years some of the main highlights were to be found on the depot fan where non-serviceable trams were displayed for photos. This included those to enter service soon (London Transport 1622, Newcastle 102 and London County Council 1), London trams to mark 70 years since closure (London County Council 106 and London Transport 1622) and Glasgow trams for the 60th anniversary of the last trams (Glasgow 1282, Glasgow 1068 and Glasgow 812). All three of those feature in this gallery along with those trams which were running in service on the day - including the Works Cars on demonstration runs. We conclude this gallery with a second visit to Crich on the following day with more images of trams in service. * To read more on what happened on the day read our article here. |
