Isle of Man - July 2022

This is the first of two galleries from the Isle of Man in July 2022, mainly featuring the Manx Electric Railway in the period leading up to the Manx Summer Transport Festival. This coincided with the Isle of Man 50 Group charters which saw a number of trams on the MER hired for special tours and we feature those trips extensively.

The weather throughout this period is rather mixed - from wet, cloudy, mist through to full blown sunshine! We also see the rare sight of two motors coupled together with 9 having to rescue fellow Tunnel Car no. 6.

Services on the MER were disrupted at this time following the overhead being felled by kayaks meaning the main service was only running between Laxey and Ramsey although a shuttle service betwene Derby Castle and Groudle did also run at times.
