West Midlands Metro - June & July 2022

This collection takes us on a trip to the West Midlands Metro with a variety of images taken across June and early July 2022. With services on the network having been suspended during March because of issues with the original CAF built Urbos3 trams it wasn't until late May and early June that a significant amount of testing took place in prearation for a public service to resume on 9th June.

In this gallery we start off in the final few days of testing as we see mainly the newer CAF built Urbos100 trams in action on the section of line between Wolverhampton St George's and Bull Street. We then start to see the trams in service once more with a few of the Urbos3s having had their repairs completed and also being used for public service.

We then conclude this set of photos by going onto the second phase of the Birmingham Westside extension to Edgbaston Village where we see daylight testing and driver trainin taking place ahead of its opening soon.
