Luas, Dublin - April 2022 |
Running for a little over 26 miles (42 kilometres) Dublin's Luas network is the only tram system in Ireland and has been in operation since June 2004. With many extensions have been opened since those first trams, services run on two unconnected lines - Green Line: Broombridge to Bride's Glen, Red Line: The Point/Connolly to Saggart/Tallaght. All services are in the wheels of various Alstom Citadis trams, the latest of which were built in France from 2017. The most recent deliveries are 55 metre Citadis 402 trams with previous arrivals also having been lengthened to provide additional capacity across the popular network.
In this photoset we feature the trams of Luas in operation across both the Green and Red lines, including some of the earlier and later deliveries to Dublin. * For details of the tram fleet on Luas take a look at our Fleet List. |
