T3R.P 8226 demonstrates here the very professional work undertaken in Prague’s central tramcar workshops (Ustredni dilny dp). Following an accident it is having its entire front end rebuilt. The workshops deliver everything from heavy repairs to major overhauls as well as building new trams such as the new batch of T3R.PLFs currently being delivered (8286 to 8292 as part of a further batch of 65 of this variant were under construction on 24th March 2022) and the complete reconstruction of Tatra KT8D5.RN2P cars from Miskolc in Hungary that will become 9099 to 9110 and 9171 to 9173). The best comparison is with London Transport’s former Aldenham works where it was said that anything that could be achieved would be achieved!
