Notes: This fleet contains details of all trams which remain owned by the Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society following the change of control at the Wirral Transport Museum. With the exception of Warrington 28 all these (horse) trams are now located at Hooton Park, the new base for the MTPS. Douglas Bay Horse Tramway 11 and Douglas Bay Horse Tramway 47 initially arrived at the Wirral Transport Museum on 5th and 4th May 2021 respectively from the Isle of Man. In October 2023 they were moved to Hooton Park, Ellesmere Park for further storage. They have since been joined by Liverpool 43 at Hooton Park. Warrington 28 remains at the Wirral Transport Museum where it was undergoing restoration, arriving there on 24th July 2004. The tram is in fact Warrington 2 but a decision made by the MTPS membership in 2015 was that as it is to be restored to open balcony condition it should be given a new identity. It is expected to be moved location in the future. |
