The pedestrian was knocked unconscious in the incident, which happened at 0830, but according to the local ambulance service did not have any further noticeable injuries. Tram services were terminated at Priestfield whilst the man was treated at the scene before he was taken to hospital. Normal operations resumed from 1030.
