Wrong! Although we have now entered the off season for many of our heritage trams there is still the chance to ride on trams at Beamish, Birkenhead, Heaton Park and Summerlee whilst Seaton will be welcoming a man in the red suit ahead of Christmas with limited opening following that. This one stop guide will help you find out just where you can get your tram fix over the next few months\u2026<\/p>\n<p><em>Since this article was originally published it has been updated with information for Birkenhead, Blackpool and Heaton Park.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Beamish: The Living Museum of the North<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current Status: Open Tuesdays-Thursdays, Saturdays &amp; Sundays until 27<sup>th<\/sup> March (the tramway operates whenever the museum is open). Also daily Monday 22<sup>nd<\/sup> December to Sunday 28<sup>th<\/sup> December (except Christmas Day) and Friday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> January.<\/p>\n<p>Opening hours: 1000-1600 (last admission 1500)<\/p>\n<p>More info @ <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beamish.org.uk\/\">http:\/\/www.beamish.org.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Birkenhead Heritage Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current Status: Operates every Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Operating hours: Services run from Taylor Street Museum at 13250 and then every half hour until 1620, returning from Woodside Ferry at 1305 until 1635. The last possible return from Woodside is 1605.<\/p>\n<p>Next special event: Santa Special \u2013 Saturday 13th December<\/p>\n<p>More info @ <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mtps.co.uk\/\">http:\/\/www.mtps.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Blackpool Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current Status: Santa Special \u2013 Saturday 20th December only<\/p>\n<p>Details: Western Train 733+734 will be stabled at North Pier between 1000 and 1530. Following Santa meeting the children the Train will run one special trip departing North Pier at 1600.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Heaton Park Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current Status: Open every Sunday until 21<sup>st<\/sup> December 2014 (re-opens February Half Term). Also operating on 13th, 14th &amp; 20th December in conjunction with a special Christmas event within Heaton Park.<\/p>\n<p>Operating hours: 1200-1600 using at least one tram. Santa Specials must be pre-booked and the Yellow timetable will operate on 28th December &amp; 1st January (every 30 minutes 1000-1600).<\/p>\n<p>More info @ <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tram.co.uk\/\">http:\/\/www.tram.co.uk\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Summerlee \u2013 The Museum of Scottish Industrial Life<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current Status: Open daily (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 1<sup>st<\/sup> and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> January)<\/p>\n<p>Opening hours: 1000-1600.
