E.ON have been selected to supply power requirements across the entire Nottingham Express Transit network and related premises. The three year deal has been signed between E.ON and Tramlink Nottingham as the consortium seek to honour their commitment to use local suppliers whether possible (the energy company is one of Nottinghamshire\u2019s largest employers).<\/p>\n

The current power demand of the network is 7 million kilowatt-hours which is the equivalent of 2,100 average UK homes. In addition to supplying the current network E.ON are working with Taylor Woodrow Alstom Joint Venture (part of the Tramlink consortium) to provide electricity grid connections for the main construction site of phase two at Toton.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
