It was the first T68 to undergo commissioning works at Bury Depot when GEC Alsthom hired the old BR depot for commissioning the vehicles but probably its biggest claim to fame came on 17th July 1992 when it was chosen to carry Her Majesty the Queen from St Peter\u2019s Square to Bury following the official opening of Metrolink.
