Well if you do you have come to the right place as this is your one stop guide to heritage trams in the UK and Isle of Man! The next major highlight on our heritage tramway will be the Manx Heritage Transport Festival between Wednesday 30th<\/sup> July and Sunday 3rd<\/sup> August with the Manx Electric Railway playing a key role.<\/p>\n

Beamish: The Living Museum of the North<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Open daily<\/p>\n

Opening hours: 1000-1700 (last admission 1500)<\/p>\n

Birkenhead Heritage Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Closed until further notice due to an electrical fire in the overhead supply. A free Tram replacement bus service will operate to the times below when staff and vehicles permit until repairs are carried out<\/p>\n

Operating hours: Services run from Taylor Street Museum at 1300 and then every half hour until 1630, returning from Woodside Ferry at 1315 until the last possible return at 1615.<\/p>\n

Next Special Event: Sunday 5th<\/sup> October \u2013 Bus & Tram Show<\/p>\n

Blackpool Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Operates Bank Holiday weekends and selected other dates until end of August.<\/p>\n

Next service:<\/p>\n

Saturday 23rd<\/sup>-Monday 25th<\/sup> August \u2013 a 3 tram service will operate, details to follow.<\/p>\n

Crich Tramway Village<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Open Daily<\/p>\n

Opening hours: 1000-1730 (last admission 1600). At least 3 trams should be in service each day (subject to availability)<\/p>\n

Next special event: Saturday 9th<\/sup> & Sunday 10th<\/sup> August \u2013 August 1940s Weekend<\/p>\n

Douglas Horse Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Daily operation until September.<\/p>\n

Operating hours: First tram departs Strathallan at 0900 and then every 20 minutes until 1720. Return journeys commence from the Sea Terminal at 0920 and then every 20 minutes until 1740.<\/p>\n

East Anglia Transport Museum<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Open (details of when see below).<\/p>\n

Opening hours: Every Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday & Saturday 1300-1700 (last admission 1600) and every Sunday 1100-1700 (last admission 1600) until Sunday 7th<\/sup> September. Also open Bank Holiday Monday 25th<\/sup> August 1100-1700.<\/p>\n

Next Special Event: Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th September \u2013 Autumn Gala Weekend<\/p>\n

Great Orme Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Operates daily<\/p>\n

Operating hours: 1000-1700 (from April 1000-1800). Trams every 20 minutes<\/p>\n

Heaton Park Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Open every Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays.<\/p>\n

Operating hours: 1200-1700 using at least one tram.<\/p>\n

Next special event: Trans Lancs Transport Show \u2013 Sunday 7th<\/sup> September<\/p>\n

Manx Electric Railway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Operating daily. See below for details of when.<\/p>\n

The following services will run over the next few weeks:<\/p>\n

Until Sunday 31st<\/sup> August \u2013 Timetable D (14 departures per day starting at 0940 from Douglas \u2013 not all run all the way to Ramsey) Enhanced services will run on Thursday 31st<\/sup> July & Sunday 3rd<\/sup> August in connection with the Heritage Transport Festival. On Sunday 27th<\/sup> July cars 1 and 2 will be in use to celebrate 120 years of the MER to Laxey (see http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=8392<\/a> for more details)<\/p>\n

Wednesdays 30th<\/sup> July, 6th<\/sup> & 13th<\/sup> August see additional evening services between Douglas and Laxey for summit diners using timetable E<\/p>\n

Fridays 25th<\/sup> July, 1st<\/sup>, 8th<\/sup> & 15th<\/sup> August see additional evening services including to and from Ramsey using timetable G<\/p>\n

Seaton Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Daily running.<\/p>\n

The Red timetable is in operation daily until Sunday 31st<\/sup> August. First tram leaves Seaton at 1000 and then every 20 minutes until 1720 with returns from Colyton starting at 1030 until the last departure of the day at 1750.<\/p>\n

Snaefell Mountain Railway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Operating Daily.<\/p>\n
