What to know when and where you ride on heritage trams over the next few weeks? Well if you do you have come to the right place as this is your one stop guide to heritage trams in the UK and Isle of Man! This weekend will see the Crich Tramway Village hosting another special event with an Edwardian weekend (12th<\/sup> and 13th<\/sup> July) which will include trips on horse car Sheffield 15 (Sunday 13th<\/sup> only). Then attention will be turned to Blackpool, or to be more precise Fleetwood, again on Sunday 20th<\/sup> July when the annual Transport Festival takes place which will include heritage tram trips between Fisherman\u2019s Walk and North Pier.<\/p>\n

Beamish: The Living Museum of the North<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Open daily<\/p>\n

Opening hours: 1000-1700 (last admission 1500)<\/p>\n

Birkenhead Heritage Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Operates every Saturday and Sunday. Please note will be closed Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July.<\/p>\n

Operating hours: Services run from Taylor Street Museum at 1300 and then every half hour until 1630, returning from Woodside Ferry at 1315 until the last possible return at 1615.<\/p>\n

Next Special Event: Sunday 5th<\/sup> October \u2013 Bus & Tram Show<\/p>\n

Blackpool Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Operates Bank Holiday weekends and selected other dates until end of August.<\/p>\n

Crich Tramway Village<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Open Daily<\/p>\n

Opening hours: 1000-1730 (last admission 1600). At least 3 trams should be in service each day (subject to availability)<\/p>\n

Next special event: Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July \u2013 Edwardian Weekend<\/p>\n

Douglas Horse Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Daily operation until September.<\/p>\n

Operating hours: First tram departs Strathallan at 0900 and then every 20 minutes until 1720. Return journeys commence from the Sea Terminal at 0920 and then every 20 minutes until 1740.<\/p>\n

East Anglia Transport Museum<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Open (details of when see below).<\/p>\n

Opening hours: Every Thursday & Saturday 1300-1700 (last admission 1600) and every Sunday 1100-1700 (last admission 1600) until Sunday 13th July after which Tuesday and Wednesday opening commences.<\/p>\n

Next Special Event: Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th September \u2013 Autumn Gala Weekemd<\/p>\n

Great Orme Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Operates daily<\/p>\n

Operating hours: 1000-1700 (from April 1000-1800). Trams every 20 minutes<\/p>\n

Heaton Park Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Open every Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays. Also open on Saturday 19th<\/sup> July in connection with the Festival of Model Trams.<\/p>\n

Operating hours: 1200-1700 using at least one tram. (Saturday 19th<\/sup> July open 1100-1900 and Sunday 19th<\/sup> July open 1100-1700).<\/p>\n

Next special event: Trans Lancs Transport Show \u2013 Sunday 7th<\/sup> September<\/p>\n

Manx Electric Railway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Operating daily. See below for details of when.<\/p>\n

The following services will run over the next few weeks:<\/p>\n

Until Friday 18th July \u2013 Timetable C (10 departures per day starting at 0940 from Douglas)<\/p>\n

Wednesday 16th July see additional evening services between Douglas and Laxey for summit diners using timetable E<\/p>\n

Friday 18th July see additional evening services including to and from Ramsey using timetable G<\/p>\n

Next special event: Manx Heritage Transport Festival 2014 \u2013 30th July-3rd August<\/p>\n

Seaton Tramway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Daily running.<\/p>\n

The Red timetable is in operation daily from Saturday 12th<\/sup> July until Sunday 31st<\/sup> August. First tram leaves Seaton at 1000 and then every 20 minutes until 1720 with returns from Colyton starting at 1030 until the last departure of the day at 1750.<\/p>\n

Snaefell Mountain Railway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Current Status: Operating Daily.<\/p>\n
