The LRV departed at 0500 on Wednesday 25th June on the back on the familiar Allely\u2019s low loader having spent the previous few weeks in the Trafford Depot workshops undergoing final component removal.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong>1005<\/strong>\u2019s main claim to fame is that it was the first LRV to undertake a powered trip through Manchester City Centre in December 1991 and it was also the first of three T68s modified in 1999 to run on the Eccles line alongside the newer T68As. <strong>1005<\/strong> also had the honour of playing a starring role in an episode of children\u2019s television programme <em>Sooty &amp; Co<\/em> (just in case you thought we had gone mad with our headline!) in May 1993 for which it carried a special name for filming only (it was never carried in service).<\/p>\n<p><strong>1018<\/strong> will be the next of the LRVs to leave for scrapping and <strong>1003<\/strong> has now moved into the Workshops waiting its turn to leave Trafford Depot.<\/p>\n<p>On the M5000 front no further vehicles have entered service yet with the latest delivery \u2013 <strong>3084<\/strong> \u2013 still at Queens Road where it should be joined by <strong>3085<\/strong> this Saturday.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_8135\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=8135\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8135\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8135\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-8135\" title=\"1005news\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/1005news-550x366.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/1005news-550x366.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/1005news-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/1005news.jpg 1229w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-8135\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tram stop - closed, LRV - sent for scrapping.
