Manchester Metrolink M5000s 3100<\/strong> and 3110<\/strong> have swapped adverts with the pair being seen in service during the first week of November carrying new vinyl wrap liveries.<\/p>\n

The first to make an appearance was 3100<\/strong> which is now advertising Selfridges. The advert tells us that \u201cChristmas starts here\u201d (no it doesn\u2019t, it still the start of November!) and is a fairly plain affair with it being yellow with just some writing on it.<\/p>\n

3100<\/strong> had previously been advertising Marvel PS5 games (vinyls which were added in August 2026). This design for Selfridges is its sixth advert \u2013 other advertisers having been Vodafone, The Hundred, xtb and JD Sports.<\/p>\n

This is the third time that Selfridges have advertised on Metrolink. The first came way back in November 2014 when 3045<\/strong> became the first M5000 to receive an advert. They then returned in September 2023 with 3115<\/strong> the chosen tram on that occasion.<\/p>\n

3110<\/strong> is also now in a new advert with it having received a set of vinyls of Pinterest. Pinterest is described as a \u201ca visual discovery engine and social media platform where users find, collect, and share ideas, recipes, style inspiration, and products using images, videos, and GIFs.\u201d. The new advert encourages people to use the service with the slogan \u201cSquad goals over doom scrolls\u201d.<\/p>\n

This is advert number three for 3110<\/strong>, all of which have come since August of this year. It started off with a design for Footlocker before in September it swapped to a design promoting Bee Network\u2019s free school trip travel.<\/p>\n
