The October half-term engineering works on South Yorkshire Supertram have been continuing over the past few days with work taking place close to Shalesmoor and Hillsborough tram stops. Photos from Stuart Cooke.<\/p>\n

The works will see more track and associated infrastructure replaced and are part of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority\u2019s investment into maintaining and improving the Supertram network. They have committed \u00a3110 million towards the network by 2027 and this work is just the latest set of planned works in 2026 which has already seen the delta junction fully replaced over the summer.<\/p>\n

25th October \u2013 the second day of the work \u2013 and we\u2019re at Hillsborough where new track is being laid through the stop on the outbound track towards Middlewood.<\/p><\/div>\n

This is now 27th October where we see even more progress taking place at Hillsborough. The track on the crossover is now down into its grooves.<\/p><\/div>\n
